Winning SCR888 Slot Game Download Hold'em Strategy - Play on the River 2019

If you're still a player after the turn card, you should have a strong hand or a draw to a strong hand. With only one card left to see you SCR888 Slot Game Download want to be sure you don't drown in the river. After the river you usually have only one or two opponents, but your hand is set, and you can't hope for any improvement.

Suppose you make that flush with the river card and there's no pair on the board, or you hold some other monster hand, what should you do? Option one is to try for the checkraise, and option two is to bet outright. The proper play depends on the circumstances. Here's an example from I hand I played at the Showboat in Atlantic City. I held a pair of pocket jacks, and from the betting it was clear my opponent held a set of threes. Lucky me - a jack popped up on the river! I was certain my opponent thought he had the best hand, and I knew he would bet. I checked. Sure enough he bet, and I raised. He realized he'd been trapped, but chose to call. I won a nice pot. Only checkraise if (1) you are certain you have the best hand, and (2) you are certain your opponent(s) will bet. If you can't guarantee both of these conditions, don't checkraise. Most of the time use option two and bet immediately.

Suppose you hold a marginal hand; it could win, but chances are good it could lose. If the pot is large, you should call even if there's only a tiny chance you will win. In the long run you are better off calling with a losing hand than folding what would have been the winner. If you believe your opponent has a weaker hand than yours or you believe he bluffs a lot, and if he bets ahead of you on the river, consider raising. This is an especially good strategy if there are others to act behind you, since you may force them to fold and now you only have one player to beat.

The more opponents you have, the more likely someone has a better hand than yours, and you are going to lose. So if there are bets ahead of you and more to come behind you, your chances of having the best hand go down. You need a very strong hand to raise or call in this situation.

Play on the river is heavily dependent on knowing your opponents. Are you up against someone who bluffs all the time or someone who never bluffs? Are you up against someone who's made it to the end by limping along? Adjust your play to the style of your opponents and the hand you hold.

Bet at the end if you'll have the best hand most of the time when you are called. More than likely you'll be called on the river. If the others have stayed in until the end, they're not likely to fold for one more bet.
